Children In Need This Christmas - Would You Give A Gift For Xmas To The Children?

Christmas is for children but I believe that us adults get just as much from Christmas as the kids do, because seeing the big smiles on there faces whether it be your children or grand children, step children it does not matter any body who watches a member of their family who is a baby a child or a teenager and watches their faces light up when they open the presents, to see the gift they have been wanting for such a long time. To actually receive that gift on the special day lights up your world too.
We have to at this time of year think of the children in orphanages and care homes, as these children normally have no parents involved in their lives or if they do they don't see them very often and only have carers to look after them, I think that this must be an awful feeling to awake on Xmas day knowing that your parents are not there, because as a mother myself and having no mom since I was 18 it is still hard waking on Christmas day to the fact that my mums not alive and my children have no grand mother to see and thank on the day, and as she died before they were both born is even worse. So I feel some of the feelings that these children might feel but obviously not as half as terrible as these kids, because they are young children and we are adults. But depending on their circumstances and how they were left, it could have been for the children's good because maybe their parents were alcoholics or drug dependent, but no matter how you are left being without your parents it still kills you inside to know they are not there for you anymore.
So if any person out there can find the feeling in your heart to maybe give a gift, just one gift to another needy child out in the world then it would be a good act to do. And I am sure you would receive lots of thanks and respect from these kids if they ever met you in person, because even though they have gone through the rough and tumble they still know what they are worth and deserve. And for a child who does not receive a gift on Christmas day would be so sad, and heart wrenching to think of any child sat by there bed with no stocking, no gift even the smallest of gifts would brighten up a child's day at Christmas, no matter the size or the expense.
I think in all of us we have the giving nature and being generous, and us as a population can give what we like and it would be gratefully received by which ever child received this gift and what ever the Christmas gift may be. This gift would make these children think that they are never really forgotten and that people really do have a heart and think about these children in need.

AS OF 12/31/10 MY HUSBAND AND I WILL NOT HAVE A PLACE TO CALL HOME..... RIGHT NOW WE ARE LIVING WITH MY HUSBANDS MOTHER AFTER MY FATHERINLAW PASSED AWAY ON CHRISTMAS EVE LAST YEAR. WE USE TO LIVE IN IL WE DIDNT HAVE A LOT TO BEGIN WITH BUT WE WERE MAKING IT WORK THEN WE GOT A CALL SAYING MY FATHER IN LAW WAS IN A COMA BECAUSE OF A CLUTTER OF VAINS IN HIS HEAD BURST. WE DIDNT HAVE A CAR AT THE TIME SO WHEN WE LEFT WE COULDNT TAKE ANYTHING WITH US,WE DIDNT HAVE THE MONEY TO STORE ANYTHING EITHER SO WE DID WHAT WE HAD TO DO WE THREW JUST ABOUT ALL OF OUR BELONGING OUT GOT 2 TRAIN TICKETS AND WENT BACK TO NY TO HELP MY MOTHER IN LAW. NOW MY MOTHER IN LAW HAS TO SELL HER HOUSE WE DONT HAVE ANY WHERE TO GO, WE NOW HAVE A CAR SO THAT IS WHAT WE HAVE TO CALL HOME UNTIL WE GET BACK ON OUR FEET.ITS SIMPLE! NY IS THE MOST EXPENSIVE PLACE TO LIVE SO WE ARE LOOKING TO GO WHERE IT IS CHEAPER WE ARE LOOKING AT TN...AS LONG AS WE WILL BE STAYING IN OUR CAR UNTIL GOD KNOWS WHEN WE ARE GOING TO NEED A LITTLE HELP WITH MAYBE GIFT CARDS FOR LIKE WALMART AND OR MOBIL STATIONS FOR FOOD,GAS AND PERSONAL ITEMS AND MAYBE A FEW DOLLARS TO HELP OUT WITH A MOTEL ROOM FOR MAYBE ONCE A WEEK SO WE CAN CLEAN UP A LITTLE...SO PLEASE IF ANY ONE CAN HELP WITH ANYTHING....THANK YOU & GOD BLESS IF YOU CAN HELP IN ANY WAY PLEASE EMAIL ME AT victoria_palmiter@yahoo.com
