So it's Valentines day and everybody is thinking about, what gift should you buy your partner? Or what should you do this valentines day for your partner. A romantic meal with candle light with red roses for her. A hot bath and a back massage for him. Whatever you plan for this special romantic valentines day make this year the best you have ever had.

Here are some romantic things to do on valentines day for your lover which do not cost a fortune.

Give a back and neck massage to ease the stresses of the day and then run a hot bubble bath for your partner, scatter rose fragranced petals in the tub and let them relax for a while. Whilst you cook a lovely romantic candle lit meal consisting of food without bad odours such as garlic or too much onion in because of bad breath, and a bottle of wine and red roses on the table. Whilst you are eating the romantic meal reminisce of other valentine days you have spent together, and the memories you have got throughout the years spent together.

Who ever you do this for will be very surprised and will enjoy every moment.

Take your boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife for a romantic weekend away to a nice hotel in a place of your choice, a place you both met or have spent holidays in the past together such as on your honeymoon if you are married. This will bring back lots of passion and romantic nights which lots of couples lose after being together for so long.

Are you an unmarried couple who feel the time is right for marriage and you know the ins and outs of your partner, can you read them like a book then, a proposal of marriage across the table at a posh restaurant would be a nice idea. Also you will never forget your anniversary date proposing on valentines day it will definitely be a day and night to remember.

Leave love notes around the house hidden in cupboards, appliances and by their side of the bed ready for valentines morning, describe how much you love them and why, and what good points you love about them. And why they are special to you.

Make breakfast in bed and cut the fried eggs and toast into love heart shapes and put it on a tray with a hot drink, a card, a rose and give them breakfast in bed on valentines day.

If you and your lover are outdoors people then a nice long walk along the countryside, doing some sight seeing and holding hands talking about the good times you have spent together and what you intend to do within the many years you intend to spend together would be romantic for valentines.

So whatever you choose to surprise your partner with on valentines day, make sure you have a good day and give your other half a great day to remember. And I hope you spend many happy valentines days together and have fun along the way.
