Father's day gift's - Buying gift's for dad on fathers day can be hard. Men are especially difficult to buy for because shops nowadays tend to cater more for women and children. I find this extremely ridiculous. Firstly you will need to have a think along the lines of what your father likes or enjoys as his hobby. Secondly a father's day gift that dad will appreciate, and will feel lot's of thought has gone in to the gift. So here goes.
- Most dad's like tools and gadgets, so you could buy him a new power tool set or an item for his car such as new seat covers or a set of alloys, if he drives that is. The power tools will give dad no excuse to skip the diy mum's asked him to do, and any gift to do with the car would be to your advantage. Because we all know we treat our dads like taxi driver but not on fathers day I hope.
- If your dad supports a football/soccer team them maybe buy him season tickets for father's day for his favourite team and even buy yourself some and go with dad and spend one on one special time with dad.
- If dad enjoys hobbies like fishing then you could buy him some new fishing gear and regularly spend the day fishing together. Or even art and theatre as hobby, buy two tickets for mum and dad for father's day to watch a performance together.
- Take dad for a meal out to a restaurant and then to a pub and play darts and have a laugh together and enjoy your time with each other.
- If you are a grown man with lots of siblings and children of your own, why not all put some money together, and arrange for all of you to have a professional portrait taken of all the younger generation of the family. Then each time he glanced over at it, he will feel as though you are all with him no matter how far you are.
- Does dad get lost regularly? Or can never find his way to places, if that is the case then for a gift on fathers day buy him an in car satellite navigation system (satnav), Dad will never get lost again.
- Does your dad work hard all week? Then pay for a massage and spa day for a father's day gift. This will relax him and take all the tension of the working week away.
- If you are planning to take dad out on fathers day for food and drink, then a nice gift would be a nice shirt and tie for dad to wear for the special occasion.
- Dads like their watches and generally tend to hoard them, and they don't care how many they have but the more the better. So a watch would be a nice present.
- If your dad enjoys a laugh with you and has a great sense of humour then buy a joke gift, such as; crossword toilet paper, Worlds largest underwear, giant toilet mug or dad's cab light up meter, but that will mean no more free rides for you.
There we have it, fathers day gifts to make dad feel like the best dad ever, and to make him feel very special on fathers day. I hope dad likes his gifts and you enjoy the time spent together, because that is the best gift to give dad any time of the year.

Top-level comments on this article: (1 total)Thanks for your thought and great ideas. Fathers sometimes get left out of the equation. I guess because its a woman's world - this gift giving and family celebrations and such. It is almost natural to leave the old guy in the garage with his tools. Your article puts a lie to that, and I am thankful for it.Thanks Cristofer for your feedback.Keep wellEmma
